Letter to Voters

Dear District 1 voters,

Why does a small business owner and former middle school science teacher decide to run for office? Because I believe District 1 needs a representative who values independent thinking, and who understands the bold steps our nation must take to succeed in the 21st century.

I've become increasingly concerned that this country is on the wrong track in the areas of energy, foreign affairs, education, health care, and fiscal policy. In my view, our current path has dire consequences, and I am motivated to make sure our nation leaves a legacy of which we can all be proud.

For America to progress, we must get past the bitter partisanship responsible for dysfunction in our government. I believe Republicans, Democrats, and Independents can come together to strengthen our nation. Please join me in reaffirming that this is Oregon, and we do things differently here.
